Access your credit union accounts at Australia Post offices

Withdraw or deposit funds at any Australia Post office through their Bank@Post facility which is available to all  members.

Bank@Post is the new name for the Australia Post agency banking service, which has been known as giroPost since its launch in 1995.

With Bank@Post agency banking Members can conduct real-time transactions on accounts at postal outlets across Australia which display the Bank@Post sign.

As at 1st January 2006 there were 3,119 on-line Bank@Post agency banking outlets. This is expected to increase to approximately 3,300 by the end of 2006.

Access

Access is available by using your VISA Debit Card or Redicard and PIN number, you can deposit cash and/or cheques and withdraw cash. The account that is accessed is the one that is linked to your VISA Debit Card or Redicard (eg S1 Access Savings Account).

To make a withdrawal you simply take your VISA Debit Card or Redicard and ask to make a cash withdrawal. Limits apply to cash transactions.

To make a deposit you will need to complete a deposit slip which is available at the outlet.

Depositing Cheques

When depositing cheques to your account the payee on the cheque must be the same as the name of the VISA Debit Card or Redicard.

Australia Post will not accept cheques with joint payees if there is only one name on the VISA Debit Card or Redicard. Bank@Post transactions are online and immediate.

Cheque Clearance

Nine working days clearance on cheques deposited with Bank@Post applies.
